Sharks in Bulgaria

The Black Sea – the largest saltwater body closest to Bulgaria – is home to several shark species. The most common of them is the spiny dogfish. At the same time, the longnose spurdog, the small-spotted catshark, and the smooth hammerhead are also occasionally seen.
