Blacktip Shark

The first shark we’ll discuss is the Blacktip Shark. The Blacktip Shark has a pointed snout, long gill slits, and no ridge between its dorsal fins. They usually possess a black tip or edge on the pectoral, dorsal, pelvic, and caudal fins; hence their name.

These sharks on our Black and White Sharks list are extremely elusive and quick. They are known to make spinning leaps in and out of the water in order to attain their prey, which usually consists of smaller fish. While they are normally wary of humans, Blacktip Sharks will become violent if a human is in the presence of one of their food supplies.

Blacktip Reef Shark

Sadly, these sharks are threatened by extinction due to their commercial use in fisheries. Humans use various parts of the shark, such as the meat, fins, and liver oil, that are taken and sold on the market. We should make a better effort in conserving these incredible fish.

Great White Shark

The next part of our Black and White Sharks list deals with one of the most menacing sharks out there in the world. That shark species is the Great White Shark. The Great White Shark is one of the most dominant fishes within the ocean. They are extremely efficient and quick swimmers, with rows of triangular teeth that allow it to easily take care of its prey.

Great White Shark

While Hollywood and entertainment makes it seem like the great white will eat anything that comes in its way, that isn’t totally the case. Humans are not part of the great white shark diet…thank god. While they are indeed carnivores, Great White Sharks prefer other fish and mammals that are usually found throughout our oceans. This includes seals, as well sea turtles, sea otters, and even sea birds.
